Yay - so it's official. I'm going to BEA and LA. NOt sure how long for BEA but I'm definitely going.
Can't wait.....
I love going to these places where book groupies hang out. The books, the knowledge, the energy, the people.
Mostly because I love all you guys and want to support all my blogger buddies who have books coming out at BEA and hang out with the masters of the business in LA.
Both are so worth the money! Plus BEA - can you say ARCS!
My goal is to set up some kind of happy hour at each place for bloggers or tweeters (or blogger/tweeter groupies :)
A Blogger Blowout. A Tweeter Throng (not to be confused with thong - look it up! ":)
So tell me, who is going to BEA and who is going to LA?

I'm still on the fence about BEA this year. I usually go for the day job. Well, that's what I say, but mostly I just go because I love books!

ReplyDeleteI'm going to BEA, but not SCBWI LA (unfortunately. I really want to go back! But not this year due to honeymoon). I think it would be good to plan some sort of meet up to maybe coincide with kidlit drinks at BEA. I don't know when it is. Cheryl Klein and Betsy Bird usually organize it. But last year it was epic. (Though I think last year it followed a performance of Tiger Beat at Books of Wonder.)

Unfortunately, both my Lear Jet and my private yacht have been promised in advance to Leaders of South American Countries so...it's either swim the Atlantic or stay in Greece and be with you all ONLY in spirit this year....I'll be holding a glass of spirits in at least one hand to toast you all when you have HAPPY HOUR though.....
