Come back Monday to see who won The Agent Pitch Contest!
Yes, you definitely have a vlog presence, and you should vlog some more. I like your backdrop.
ReplyDeleteGreat job with your first vlog, Shelli! And thanks for all the links! I can't wait til Monday. :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Shelli!!!! It was nice "seeing" you!
ReplyDeleteI liked the vlog.
ReplyDeleteI am newer to your blog. SO maybe some of your previous posts have covered this. But I would love to hear more about your writing journey.
Also about some of the exciting and not so exciting things you learned about the publishing process.
Have you ever had a thought or event happen to you when you thought to yourself "this would only happen to a writer?"
You get my vote for Best First Vlog! That made me smile.
ReplyDeleteGreat vlog! You could vlog about your all time fave books :)
ReplyDeleteI love your first vlog. And thank you for all the links!
ReplyDeleteQuestion: What are some of your favorite re-reads?
You are a Vlog natural! Kudo's!!
ReplyDeleteGreat first vlog!
ReplyDeleteMy question is what book do you think everyone should read at least once?
Nice roundup and also great first vlog! I'll have to check out those links. :)
ReplyDeleteFuntabulous! You did a great job! Loved it.
ReplyDeleteSo why was I giggling all the way through this if it wasn't supposed to be a funny vlog...? CONGRATS! Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteYour enunciation is excellent. My question is:
1) Have you ever had voice/music lessons as it seems you know how to SPEAK to your audience.
2) VLOG about funny/odd/weird things that have either happened to you or writer-friends on your writing journey.
btw - which continent is hubby on at the mo - just curious :)
Awesome! You are a natural vlogger, Shelli. Vlog away!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I'd say just be yourself and vlog what you would normally blog! The books look good!
ReplyDeleteThat was a great vlog Shelli! I'd say you are a vlogger natural!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the links and enjoy your weekend.
OK, I'm impressed! You're a natural vlogger, Shelli. Our vlog on Monday???? Um...not so natural. And just so you know, we're merely supporting players in this vlog. The other writers totally steal the show!
ReplyDeleteGreat first vlog Shelli! It's awesome of you to give so many books away--happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteGreat vlog, you should keep it up! I'd love for you to talk more about how you landed your agent -- Alyssa Eisner Henkin -- and more about the book that brought you to her
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the vlog! I grabbed HUSH at BEA too, so excited to read it.
ReplyDeletethanks for the links!
Love the vlog! Definitely enjoyed seeing you . . . but oh, my heart still skips a beat at the thought of doing it myself. But YOU should definitely do it again.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you! Happy day! Happy day!
So questions to vlog about? Do you sing in the car? Do you dance when you think no one's looking? I think this is why I don't vlog. :)
Shelli! Excellent vlog! All the books look awesome! Are you planning on more vlogs, because you are a natural!
ReplyDeleteGreat first vlog! Crisp and cute. You could do a vlog about vlogs -- e.g., what you need to do one, tips, tricks, etc...
ReplyDeleteThis is very cool!! I must say, I'm hesitant about vlogs - not just doing them (which I don't) but watching them, because the people on the vlog are rarely the way they seem on the blog and in their profile picture. (With maybe the exception of LiLa because they are JUST the way they seem and more so!). :)
ReplyDeleteBut I love this one because now I even like you more (and I liked you to begin with!!). You did a great job!
So... I look forward to seeing more from you. :) I like the idea of you doing book reviews ( I loved how you seemed surprised one of the books sounded really good!), and maybe talking about different aspects of writing, like how you develop your characters or your plots.
A question to answer: if you could only choose one writing conference/event to attend, which would you suggest?
Okay. You are so CALM in your vlog!!! I was choking and laughing and probably drooling. ha!
ReplyDeleteYes, a total natural :)
duh i just realized all the books titles are backwards - what's up with mac's photo booth recording? must switch to imovie :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post. These books look awesome.
ReplyDeleteHere's my question: When did you first want to be a writer? What was your first MS (finished or unfinished)?
You are so cute, Shelli! :)
ReplyDeletemaybe now i wont' be scared to meet you in person!
I LOVE your marketing roundups. *happy sigh*
ReplyDeleteYou're so cute in your vlog! :)
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...I like Serenissima's idea of vlogging about vlogs. :P
Great round up, too! Thanks, Shelli!
Great vlog. I really liked that it didn't pause too much. To be honest, a lot that do pause tons I tend not to listen to because I'm busy trying to buzz through my blogs and I can read quicker than waiting through all the pauses. Also, just so you know, for some strange reason, I could see but not hear you on my work computer. Thanks for anther contest.
ReplyDeleteGreat vlog. You did great! Maybe you could vlog about your most wanted upcoming books.
ReplyDeleteI'd love one about writing query letters.
ReplyDeleteYour vlog was nicely done. My question: What is your favourite thing about being a writer?
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the vlog! Well done :)
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to see you. :D Good job.
ReplyDeleteShelli, I love your blog - and I'm giving it an award! Check it out Monday: http://joannebrothwell.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteYou are so cute Shelli! It's fun to see you in vlog form.
ReplyDeleteHmm, what to vlog about... Maybe you could do some sort of marketing demonstration? (I have no idea what this would be, but there's got to be something about marketing that would be cool in a blog, no?)
Super Vlog, Shelli!! And that was not at all un-funny, by the way. I cracked up at AAAA Lot ;)
ReplyDeleteTell Me a Secret sounds fantastic! Just all the books you mentioned do. Congrats to Janet as well!
P.S. It's so good to see you live! YOu're so pretty and funny and adorable! I didn't know you wore glasses! And such cute ones, too!
great first vlog, you should do one showing us where your fav place to cozy up and read it
