First Business of the day:
The Random Drawing Winner of the Comment Your Butt Off Contest is.......
Casey McCormick - Literary rambles!
Congrads! You can email me offline to discuss your "Sur-Prize."
Your dream can come true!
Some of us when we started this dream of ours - to be a published author - may have had doubts, may have been laughed at, may have even been brushed aside.
After seeing this, I truly believe that dreams can happen. And they can happen to anyone. At anytime.
If you have ever given my blog 5 minutes of your time, I ask for it now. If you want to groan, laugh, and even cry, take a few moments and watch this video. It will lift your heart, your hopes, and help you fight for this dream of yours.
I chose this longer version b/c I think the transformation in people, i attitudes, and in spirit is touching. I've watched so many times and still get tears in my eyes.
It will inspire you to never give up on your dream no matter what anyone, any agent, any author, or any editor ever tells you.
It is your dream and you have the right to spend the rest of your life seeking it!
I promise you this video is worth a quick break in your day.
If only to feed your soul after that last rejection, the last review, or your moved publication date.
This gives true meaning to the phrase: NEVER judge a book by its cover! And NEVER give up on your dreams.
So here's to you Susan Boyle!!! May you shine like the new star you are. And may you change perceptions around the world. That no one is what they seem.
Let me know what you think! (They won't let me post the video anymore!)

Wasn't this "bloody fantastic"! Yesterday was a difficult day. It seemed everywhere I turned I was running into more conflict. Not my favorite operating mode. A friend e-mailed this to me last night. I watched it about 5 times. Yes, it lifts the heart! Thanks for the fresh reminder this morning.
Oh, WOW! I'm choked up.
I forgot to mention that I've seen Les Miserables SEVEN times. So, I especially enjoyed it :)
What a way to start my day!!!! That was amazing. I love stories like these. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for posting it! You are totally right! It's awesome and well worth the time!
Oh, man! It says embedding disabled by request.
OMG Shelli. What a touching video. I went from smiles, to goosebumps, to tears, to a tight throat!
Thank you for sharing that and for the drawing. I changed my name from Lapillus to Casey mid-last month. Still counts, right?
: )
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! :)
I tried not to tear up, I really did, but I couldn't help myself. I defy anyone not to be moved by that video!
Yes I had tears. It is very inspiring. First impressions can be deceiving. They had a similar contestant a couple years ago. Here is his link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09SzPhLP6nE
You can still go to youtube and type in Susan Boyle. Wonderful! Very uplifting. Loved it.
Cheers to her!!!
Great link! I love when the underdog triumphs!
I have sobbed over this FOUR times!!!!! Love it!
Oh, I watched this yesterday (first the short version with the background story and then the longer one)and I'm not gonna lie- I was a little flekempt.
Seriously inspired by this lovely woman.
Stumbled across your blog, uhm, not exactly sure how now. ;)
But saw this post on Susan Boyle and had to stop to read and comment.
Glad to know I wasn't the only one tearing up.
And inspired.
I had to do a tribute post to her also.
As I say on mine -
I'm stunned every time I watch it. Watching someone's dreams walk across the stage in human form.

OMG! I usually don't check out the "longish" youtubes because of time. but I had to check this one out based on your words. I"m so glad I did and I"m so glad you picked the longer one!!!! It brought me to tears of joy. It's one of the nicest most inspirational things that I've witnessed in a long long time!

I loved this lady! She's so humbled. Her line is, "You just keep going." That is the words for winners...
