My latest short story anthology is now available at both Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

This is an expansion of my previous short story release, "Mixed Bag."

To keep the two books together, the new release containing ten more stories is titled "Mixed Bag II: Supersized."

Note that both books have some adult content. No erotica, but some pretty scary horror: serial killers, rapists, child molesters, and ant invasions.

Nothing as wonderful as an agent/book deal, but I just finished the first draft on a retelling of Beauty and the Beast called Thornbriar, and I'm closing in on the finish line of an urban fantasy called Red Chief, so I'm lining up some fresh query fodder. :D

Congrats to everyone else with achievements, be they minor or ginormous!

Congratulations to everyone!

Seems minor when compared to publishing deal and book releases....but I just got a request for my full manuscript. Big smiles over here! :o)

I just found out that my MG biography, CLEOPATRA RULES, was nominated for the New York State Reading Association's Charlotte Award.

Also, my YA historical fiction novel--CLEOPATRA'S MOON (which came out of the research from the bio)--releases this August!

Congrats to everyone.

I'm Casey McCormick's new blog partner and I blog on Mondays. Mostly I'm doing author interviews--especially debut authors and middle grade authors--and giving away a lot of books. I'm giving away two signed copies of THE IRON WITCH by Karen Mahoney this week. I'd love if you shouted out about it. Here's the link: http://caseylmccormick.blogspot.com/

Wow, congrats to everyone's great achievements!

I am actually in the middle of rewriting Evangeline from scratch, which has been more fun that I thought it would be.

But in real news, I am giving away a SIGNED copy of Lisa and Laura Roeker's The Liar Society on my blog. Stop by for a chance to win!

Hope everyone had a fun and relaxing Easter weekend!

No book deal, but I'm SO excited that I get to go to SCBWI this summer. I made sure of that once I knew John Green would be there. :)

The first eight in a series of toddler books I wrote were released on Friday (April 22, 2011). It was exciting to see them come to life. The "I Like" books I authored are iPad / iPhone / iBooks for very young children, and they are published by GrasshopperApps, a leading educational digital media company. http://www.grasshopperapps.com/apps/i-like/

Also, my co-authored work "Tales from China: World Favorite Fables" is scheduled for release on Friday, April 30th. What a fun and exciting week for me!

Thanks for asking and congrats to all of the others who have accomplished great successes recently as well! ~Miranda "Sibo" Paul

I just signed a contract for my novel, The Breakaway. So excited! It will come out in 2012 from Rhemalda Publishing. That also means that my fairy tale omnibus (collection) won't be out until 2013. Still, great news. So excited!

I'm jealous you get to go to SCBWI.

Really cool news here! Congrats to everyone :D

I've had no news since December, when I signed with an agent. But I was happy to read all the comments here :D

That's some awesome news, guys!
I feel my first draft starting to begin to almost come somewhere near a close (that's a mouthfull. anyone keep track of what that was?), even though it's nothing as fantastic as some other things mentioned.
I also just got HP7 on DVD from my library-I managed to be in the top 150 holds, and I now have it, soon to watch, with 4- or 5- hundred people still waiting on it :) (Oh, yeah, I'm fast!)

In not as happy news, spring break just ended and Thursday marks the beginning of fourth term :(
But I plan to study hard for the next month and ace my finals! (Okay, maybe not ace...

Congrats again to everyone else!

My good news is I have more TIME! Yahoo! :-) I've been taking all these certification tests (last one is this Thursday) and classes because like a dummy, I let my certificate expire.

I'm not going to LA- WISH!- but I am doing the SCBWI regional here in Florida. And I have had some exciting things happening writing wise too, one being starting a new WIP!
