Comment with questions for prizes (Post launch prizes)

Hey guys!

First I want to say, I am so sorry I have neglected going to and commenting on your blogs the last couple of months. I have so missed it and vow to get back into it.

As you can imagine the last 2 months have been totally crazy. I must admit, I was in over my head. I have had a blast but I've been barely keeping my head above water and struggling to get stuff done.

Anyway, I am now back to my regularly scheduled blogs on marketing and indie pubbing.

So today, if you have any suggestions on upcoming topics or any questions on indie pubbing, marketing, my books, or for me in general - please leave them in the comments.

Or you can tell me what you are working on (you know agents stop by here so it's a good way to plug :)

Whoever leaves a question/comment will go into a drawing for your choice of 1 of these 4 prizes:

1) a free book of On The Bright Side
2) a free book of Untraceable
3) a query critique
4) some other books/arcs I have laying around

This is my way of saying  thanks for not giving up on me and for all your support :)

Congrats on the book release. It may excite you to know I saw blogs about On The Bright Side everywhere yesterday. My question is, how do you manage to get the word out so fast?

My current WIP is women's fiction about a high femme college professor by day, go-go dancer by night, and what happens when a student find out.

However, I'm half-working on shopping a YA coming-of-age aimed at the LGTBQ niche market.

Congrats on everything you have accomplished! You are an inspiration.

My question is... How did you keep yourself on track while writing your book? I have been tracking words but it seems overwelming sometimes.

My current wip is about 4 siblings ages 13, 12, 9, 2 surviving among the undead.

Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule for your followers.

Congrats, Shelli! I don't know how you managed to launch two books in as many months.

My question is: what do you consider the major selling points for going the indie route? How did you know this is the right direction for you?

Not currently working on anything, but always keeping a toe in.

I love your blog and I'm always amazed at the side bar at how much writing stuff you have! I use it all the time. My question is as a self published author have you found access to libraries and schools for your books?

So looking forward to reading On The Bright Side! After Untraceable I have high hopes. When did you start writing seriously?

Glad to know you'll be posting again :) I think what I want to know is how you come up with all the guest posts! They're fun and varied and I wouldn't have thought of half of them lol.

Your blog is awesome! Congrats on the launch of your new book, which is on my TBR list.
I would like to know more about book covers: hiring a graphic artist versus doing it yourself.
Have a great day!

It obviously takes talent and experience to wear all the hats you do and still come out excited to keep writing! Congrats on the new book, it looks fantastic.

My question is, have you worked/or do you ever attempt to get your work into libraries/bookstores/large chains, etc? Is that possible, is it advantageous, or not even worth the effort? What is your opinion/experience? Wow. That seems like an unusually long question - sorry!

My current WIP is a distopian novel about a society ripped apart by war. Very original, I know - I need a better elevator pitch for that one (I actually didn't realize dystopian was so huge until after I started writing - I'm trying to look on the bright side and say, there must be a reason everyone's writing and reading it, right?)

Okay, I'll leave you along now.
Looking forward to future posts!
