Sorry for the late post. I am slammed at work but wanted to get this up. For those emailing me! :)
Starting in Feb 2009, I WILL be conducting marketing interviews with experts in the industry and posting them to my blog. Not only will I interview authors/illustrators to discuss what marketing they do for their books, I will also be interviewing agents and editors to discuss what marketing they think is critical and what they expect from authors/writers before and after they are published.
I am excited to announce the upcoming schedule for Monday's Marketing Muses.
Jan 2009
- Jan 19th - Lisa Schroeder, Author of I Heart You, You Haunt Me and Far From You. http://lisa-schroeder.livejournal.com/
- Jan 26th - Martha Mihalick, Associate Ediotor, Greenwillow Press
Upcoming Interviews:
- Jay Asher, Author of Thirteen Reasons Why
- Colleen Lindsay, Literary Agent at FinePrint Literary Management
- Elizabeth Dulemba, Illustrator/Author
- Laini Taylor - Author, Blackbringer
- Alice Pope - Author, Children's Writers & Illustrator's Market
And more...
Exciting huh?
Starting in Feb, the regular Marketing Monday features will move to another day.

Oh, sounds GREAT!
Oooo - how exciting!!
Oh that sounds simply fabulous! I'm anxious to read all about it! I've got so much to learn about marketing that I figure it's a good time for me to do as much research as I can now ahead of time.
And your interview on Chandler's blog was great--that's how I found your wonderful blog!
These interviews have been really great Shelli!
I'm really looking forward to your interview with Sarah Davies. She's at the top of my "desirable agents list" that I've been compiling.
I'm in awe of this interview list. I've thought a few times about doing interviews, but I'm just not sure that I'm organized enough.
Having said that, I'm going to sell my book and invite me to be interviewed on your blog. ;)
How do you get your interview people? It's really impressive. Do you go to them or do they come to you? And, once again, when do you sleep?
